The Weiss Group: San Diego -As CEO and board chairman, Gary spent over 30 years creating, building and managing technology businesses by providing leadership, strategy, management advisory, financing and capital formation, capital management, staffing of senior management teams and building boards of directors around those management teams. He has generally acted as initial board chair for his portfolio companies including Mobile Productivity and Quick Tag, Inc.. In recent few years, he has focused on companies in the clean technology space. including:
- GEO2 Technologies-San Diego-Co-Founder and Board Chair of company that develops and commercializes products to improve emissions control performance for internal combustion engines.

Fallbrook Technologies -San Diego- co-founder and previous Board Chairman of a leading developer of continuously variable transmissions.
- Viryd Technologies -San Diego- Initial CEO and Board Chair, current Director of a leading developer of advanced wind turbine technology.
Family Office - San Francisco - Gary managed a diversified portfolio of family assets including oil and gas and commercial real estate He had sole responsibility for strategy, legal, finance/accounting, risk management, financial planning and operations.

Early in his career Gary held various positions at Periphonics, (an Exxon Enterprises Company) and IBM.
For many years, Gary has also served on the Scripts Clinic Advisory Board.
Gary received a B.S. in Marketing from the University of Arizona.
